Convert legacy text carefully
Choose the exact ML-TT mapping used by the original document. Plain ASCII does not reliably reveal a legacy encoding. Conversion is experimental and must be reviewed against the original. Ordinary Unicode text does not need legacy conversion.
Understand a shaping result
A result with no .notdef glyphs means that HarfBuzz produced mapped glyphs for that test string. It does not verify the appearance of every conjunct or the position of every mark. Visual review remains necessary.
Build for the web
WOFF2 reduces transfer size without changing outlines. Script subsetting retains layout closure so ligatures and marks can still shape. A webfont package includes the generated WOFF2, CSS, a preview page, installation notes, and the original license.
